Open Question: How can I move closer to my girlfriend with out getting married?

My girlfriend and I are both in the military and she has just moved to Alaska on orders (not by choice). I'm still in Alabama and am actively looking for ways to be able to move up there with out getting married. I see this relationship going great places, but we just simply need more time together.
